Piermarco & Nancy, former Italian fashion photographer and fast fashion retail executive, now destination storytelling wedding photographers (Bottega 53) can be spotted half around the world capturing love stories in places like Zanzibar, NYC, LA, Singapore, Italy, Bali and in 2018 NZ and Australia. These globetrotters, natives from Puglia, were generous enough to make time out of their overbooked schedule to share with us their favorite spots in Puglia.
Here is their take on Puglia.
SUNDAY SPOT: Puglia is one of my favorite italian region for its food, venue, people, flavors, nature, forests and sea.My favorite Sunday spot could be a boat trip in Polignano a Mare and after that a big lunch in Ostuni, the white city!
BEST DRIVE: The Gargano Coast: Mattinata, Pugnochiuso, Vieste Peschici, Rodi Garganico. The view is breathtaking, and finally an excursion to Forest Umbra and a small city called Monte San’Angelo!…One of the most beautiful city in the world, similar to Matera.
COMFORT FOOD: Orecchiette with cime di rapa; the Burrata and caciocavallo podalico ( similar to mozzarella, but much better), dessert: calzoncelli, cartellate and limoncello!!!
SWIMMING HOLE: One of the best beaches in Puglia are: Baia delle Zagare and Tremiti Islands!!!
BEST PLACE TO PUT YOURSELF TO SLEEP: Borgo Egnazia, where Madonna stayed in her holiday last summer in Puglia!
